Artists, curators, shopkeepers, cooks, entrepreneurs, politicians, mediators, wanderers, everyday thinkers — and the Octopus that listens from below — fluid, decentralised, without hierarchy — in a city that has covered its rivers, but is finding its way back to its source and its soul.
People from many backgrounds and many corners of the world, discovering who they are and who they want to be — through experience, history, water, art, poetry and devotion — as Radio Marolles honestly listens and uncovers. Without judgement.

Episode 1 : Underneath, the Water Still Breathes

On Rue des Renards, in the heart of the Marolles, small shopkeepers keep their doors open — even as dust fills the street. Through their voices, Radio Marolles reveals a living neighbourhood:  Sandy at Sisters, Mariama at Tapatat, Pauline at Ticky Tacky, Émile at L’Eau Chaude, and Claude at Atchoum — each holding a space, each carrying a story. Beneath the surface, something else flows. A memory of water. A pulse of resilience. The Octopus listens, moving quietly from one threshold to another — where every door opens to a story.

On Rue des Renards, winter glows from within — through garlands, windows, and the warmth carried by those who keep the street alive. From lights chosen together in the city’s warehouses to the glow now reflected in cafés and shopfronts, the neighbourhood becomes luminous. With Dominique at the jewellery shop, Laurent at Le Renard Bleu, Carine at Le Renard Noir, and Violetta, painter of the neighbourhood.
